ABOUT

I am Arnab Das. At present, I am doing M.TECH. (2021-2023) in Artificial Intelligence at National Institute of Technology Agartala (NITA), Tripura.

I have done my BSc and MSc in Computer Science. While my bachelor’s degree offered me both depth and breadth on the fundamentals of Computer Science, through my Masters’ I gained exposure to different technical aspects of the subject. During that time, I have often thought about how Tesla self-driving car works, how GooglePhoto groups similar faces or Amazon/Flipkart can pop-up the relevant advertisements in our social media pages or YouTube can suggest videos of our interests, or how 'Ok Google' listens and reacts almost like a human. After a little bit of research, I have found about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It is overwhelming to think how fast AI is advancing and how the future will look with the big leaps in AI. It is also a bit scary that according to some sinister predictions that in the future AI will rule our world virtually. But all these overwhelming or scary feelings made me all the more interested in this world and thus started the beginning of my love of Artificial Intelligence.

I approach Artificial Intelligence with Python. Machine Learning and Deep Learning are my most favorite topics. I also have a love for visualization of data based on some python libraries. It has always given me goosebumps when my model works well at the end of many sleepless nights and restless days.

Apart from technology, I am a nature lover. Nature, wildlife, and night photography is a passionate hobby. I also like wood-crafting. Shaping physical objects from wood gives me a lot of satisfaction. A final dream is to stay amidst nature, among mountains, and take photographs at night.
